Welcome to Buxton Cycling Club, sponsored by Sett Valley Cycles.

We ride time trials, road races, the track, cyclo-cross and other off-road events, as well as sportives. Each year we promote a full programme of races, hosting the National Hill Climb Championships on Long Hill in 2011. We have had good success in hill climbs, winning the team prize in the 2012 Championships.
For the latest discussion on club runs and other events see the club's Facebook Group.

Official Announcement:

Given the recent government advice on social distancing, all club group rides and races are cancelled until further notice. This includes regular club runs on a Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday, the Len Eyres (which were due to start in May) and the club Mountain Time trial on Good Friday. Clearly things are changing quickly but it seems unlikely that these restrictions will be lifted anytime soon.

CTT Events 2020:

In light of the government advice now given, Cycling Time Trials (CTT) has taken the decision to suspend all CTT events with immediate effect up to and including 30 June 2020. Further information will be given as soon as possible.

Membership 2020:

Subscriptions for 2020 are will be due soon. For details of how to join Buxton CC or renew your membership for 2020 click here.

Club Runs:

Club runs will take place every week on Sunday mornings, setting off from the Edinburgh Woollen Mill Shop, Buxton at 9:00. Pace will be steady (average 14-15mph) with a cafe stop at around half-way. Rides will be about 50 miles.
Other road rides take place on various days particularly during the winter and you can find details here or by joining the Facebook Group. At the moment there are usually rides on Wednesday evenings and Thursday mornings.
MTB rides will also usually be listed here and/or on the Facebook Group.
