Absolutely cracking Sunday Social ride to Hathersage cafe in glorious Sunshine today. Departing Buxton with a nice warm up around the Park then Long Hill the right way. 😊. Through Chapel and upto Rushup Edge, thankfully the Maglia Rosa was well protected and not attacked early. Stunning views of The sublime Vale of Edale from Mam Nic. Steady descending and onto Hope with a nice burst of speed into the Valley, then it was head down into the breeze for the café dash. Hathersage Pool cafe never fails and fabulous to sit out in the Sun. Nice to be joined (ahem) a little later by the Anti-Social, like club rides of old meeting at the café via different routes.(Happy Birthday Mr. Beswick). Home via Gridleford, Eyam and Foolow where Russell Hodgkinson told us all about where he first worked again. 😁. Steady miles back through Weston and and Peak Dale until the final melee. Keith Vize putting in a great shift on the front before the merciless beasts attacked before the 19th. Hallam taking it in a photo finish (minus tool kit 😉) at Selecta. And to top it off fluids were replenished at the Clubhouse. Fantastic riding everyone.Chapeau. See you next week. 🚴😎
