Well the first group ride as we leave lockdown behind went of without a hitch,. 2 groups of 6 departed the Opera House, leap frogging each other at every “Chris” stop.

Weather was excellent some would say perfect cycling weather, sunny and not to windy.

Only one mechanical issue when Rob’s front shifter decided to give up ghost and leave him stuck on the inner ring (never good in Cheshire). We regrouped at the Bridge End Garden Centre, Leek, for a Socially responsible cafe stop.  After refueling stuck in 2  groups for the final leg via Onecote, Hartington and Long dale.

67miles at a steady 15mph average and 5500ft of climbing.
