Velodrome Session Thursday 8th February 2018

Chris Lea is organising a trip to ride the Manchester velodrome to take place on Thursday 8th February 2018, from 8pm to 10pm. Anyone wanting to ride just needs to contact Chris via e-mail or phone (01298 25642) to reserve a place – of which 16 are available. The session is suitable for novice and experienced riders.

Details from Chris below.

If there are more people who want to ride than there are places, priority will be given to members who have not already ridden at the Velodrome with the Club, but only up to 8th January, as it’s not fair to keep non-first timers who would like to ride again hanging on for longer than a month before they know for sure whether they have a place or have been bumped off the list by a novice. I will still reserve places for members after this date and nearer 8th February I would like to reserve the right to invite non-club members if it looks like we might be short of filling all places. I’ll reserve places on a first come first served basis, subject to the proviso for first-timers.

The cost will be £22.86 each for track hire & British Cycling coaching. Bike hire at £12.80 (concessions available) is payable to the Velodrome on arrival. Those without Look cleats (not Keo) will need to also pay for shoe hire at £5.40 each on arrival.

People can pay me £22.86 by cash or cheque in advance or on the night. The Club have already paid for track & coach hire, so I forward the money to our treasurer Nick Sharpe.

I will reply to all those reserving a place and nearer the time provide more information on how it all works, what to bring, etc. and arrange hire of track bikes.
